Very predictable result when second ranked Murcia 2 (5-1) won against bottom-ranked Ilicitano (0-6) in Elche 81-68 on Sunday. Murcia 2 made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Murcia 2 outrebounded Ilicitano 42-23 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Senegalese forward Omar Lo (206-97, college: CBU) who scored that evening 23 points and 7 rebounds and Danish point guard Noah Sorensen (194-3) supported him with 19 points. Murcia 2's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points by forward Jose Luis Ibanez (198-0) did not help to save the game for Ilicitano. Russian Andrei Trashkov (-97) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Murcia 2 maintains second position in Group E-C with 5-1 record behind leader Barca 2. Newly promoted Ilicitano still closes the standings with six games lost.
