There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Fiorenzuola (4-2) was edged at home by seventh ranked San Vendemiano (4-2) 69-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Tommaso Gatto (205-96, agency: Players Group) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Patrizio Verri (195-88) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and forward Federico Ricci (196-97) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Vendemiano moved-up to third place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Fiorenzuola. San Vendemiano will meet at home Bernareggio (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fiorenzuola will play against Crema (#11) and hope to secure a win.
