Regular Season Round 7: Prievidza - Komarno 79-100

Bottom-ranked Prievidza (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-79 loss to fifth ranked Komarno (4-3) in Prievidza. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Prievidza's 36. It was a great shooting night for Komarno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian swingman Luka Gasic (195-98) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard KC Ross-Miller (183-91, college: Auburn) contributed with 24 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Komarno players scored in double figures. American guard Josh McFolley (185-97, college: Detroit) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists and the other American import center Tyler Creammer (208-97, college: VMI) added 24 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Prievidza. Prievidza's coach Maros Helmecy gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Komarno have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Handlova and Spisski Rytieri. Prievidza at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Komarno will play against Handlova (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Prievidza will play against Iskra Svit (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
