Regular Season Round 13: Koping Stars - Nassjo 83-86

The most exciting game of round 13 in the Basketligan took place in Koping. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Koping Stars (4-6) to sixth ranked Nassjo (6-6) 86-83 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Koping Stars. They outrebounded Koping Stars 47-35 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jordan Peltier (193-95) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Haitian forward Wes Alcegaire (198-94, college: BGSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Dominic Robb (203-96, college: Niagara) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Liam O'Reilly (188-96, college: Gardner-Webb) added 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Koping Stars. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nassjo moved-up to fifth place. Koping Stars at the other side keep the seventh position with six games lost. Nassjo are looking forward to face higher ranked SBBK (#3) in Sodertalje in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koping Stars will play on the road against Boras Basket (#4) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
