No shocking result in a game in Madrid where fourth ranked Pozuelo (6-7) outleveled 12th ranked Estudio (3-6) 92-66 on Saturday. Pozuelo dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Estudio's 28. They outrebounded Estudio 53-25 including a 37-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pozuelo looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Estudio's players. The best player for the winners was center Chema Gil (207-91) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Alberto Arias (188-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Pozuelo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Jehicob Martinez (193) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Alejandro Ortiz (195-94) added 11 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Pozuelo maintains fourth place in Group B with 6-7 record. Estudio lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Pozuelo will meet at home Dos Hermanas (#4) in the next round. Estudio will play against Tenerife Naut. (#13) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
