Regular Season Round 8: Le Mans - Strasbourg 88-80

The most important game in the last round took place in Le Mans between second ranked SIG Strasbourg (5-3) and seventh ranked Le Mans (5-3) on Saturday night. SIG Strasbourg was defeated by Le Mans in a tough game on the road 80-88. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of SIG Strasbourg. Le Mans forced 19 SIG Strasbourg turnovers. Bosnian-American guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 15 points and 8 assists and guard Jean-Baptiste Maille (190-93) scored 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Le Mans moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Strasbourg. Le Mans is looking forward to face JL Bourg (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SIG Strasbourg will play against Provence Basket (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
