Regular Season Round 6: Midtbyen - Storm U. 73-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Storm U.'s (1-4) road loss to fourth ranked Midtbyen (4-2) 65-73 on Saturday. Midtbyen well out of reach of Storm U. shooting 100.0 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Midtbyen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 100.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was Fredrikke Hylen (174-96) who scored 13 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Ingeborg Gundersen (180-0) chipped in 11 points. Midtbyen's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Vilde Havnes who recorded 24 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Canadian guard Alexandra Polishchuk (168-87, college: Laurentian) added 19 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively. Midtbyen moved-up to third place, which they share with Asker. Storm U. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Ullern. Midtbyen will meet league's second-placed Baerum in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Storm U. will play against Asker (#3) and hope to win that game.
