There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Melilla (4-4) beat at home higher ranked Caceres (4-4) 75-67 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (191-91) who scored 20 points. Point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Melilla's coach Arturo Alvarez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Congolese forward Romaric Belemene (206-97) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Melilla moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Caceres. Caceres lost third consecutive game.
