Very predictable result when sixth ranked Coruna (6-2) defeated on the road 14th ranked Girona (2-6) 80-68 on Sunday. Coruna had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-90) who scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Nick Ward (203-97, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 7 points and 9 rebounds. Four Coruna players scored in double figures. Forward Eric Vila (211-98, college: UTEP) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and Latvian point guard Kaspars Vecvagars (190-93) added 15 points respectively for the hosts.
