Regular Season Round 9: Huelva Com. - Portuense 71-68

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Portuense (1-2) was edged on the road by third ranked Huelva Com. (6-1) 71-68 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was forward Federico Ristori (194-96) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Alberto Torres (201-98, college: Iowa Wesleyan) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Huelva Com.'s coach Gabriel Carrasco used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jonathan Enriquez (197-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian Dejan Ilincic (211-99, college: Southeastern) added 13 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Huelva Com.. They keep a position of Group D-B leader, which they share with Huelva CD. Portuense at the other side dropped to the tenth place with two games lost. Huelva Com. will meet Coria (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Portuense will have a break next round.
