Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both first ranked Roseto and 3rd placed Rieti NPC had identical 5-1 record. This time Roseto used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Rieti 75-60 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the top position in B. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Andrea Pastore (187-94) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Roseto's coach Danilo Quaglia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Francesco Papa (198-95, agency: Players Group) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Marco Timperi (194-97) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Roseto maintains first place in B with 6-1 record, which they share with Cividale. Loser Rieti NPC keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Roseto will meet Jesi (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rieti NPC will play against Civitanova (#14) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
