Regular Season Round 7: Ragusa - Cassino 90-66

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Ragusa (4-3) smashed at home 13th ranked Cassino (2-4) 90-66 on Sunday. Ragusa had a 37-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Mattia Da Campo (198-97, college: Seattle) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Andrea Sorrentino (190-90) helped adding 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Ragusa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Luca Campori (194-99, agency: SLN) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Cameroonian power forward Cedric Keller (204-1) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Loser Cassino keeps the thirteenth position with four games lost. Ragusa will meet at home higher ranked Salerno (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cassino will play against Ruvo di Puglia (#10) and hope to secure a win.
