There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Torta del Casar (4-3) won against on the road 3rd placed Dos Hermanas (5-2) 90-82 on Sunday. Torta del Casar made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Alejandro Martinez (-2) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Juan Santos (196-2) chipped in 21 points. Five Torta del Casar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Juan Manuel Campos (199-98) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and forward Fernando Cotan (197-91) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Torta del Casar moved-up to fifth place in Group D-B, which they share with Corazon. Dos Hermanas at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with CBSFDO. Torta del Casar will meet at home Real Betis 2 (#8) in the next round. Dos Hermanas will play against Pozuelo (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
