Regular Season Round 9: Salou - Martinenc 75-81

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Martinenc and 7th ranked Salou had identical 3-3 record. But Salou was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Barcelona 81-75 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was swingman Borja Pascual (190-86) who scored 31 points and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Esteban Felez (-1) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Larry Ewulu (197-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Gonzalo Balta (190-95) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Salou's coach Jesus Muniz rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Martinenc maintains sixth place in Group C-1 with 4-3 record. Salou at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with SESE and Pinta Castell. Martinenc's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona UE Horta.
