Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Oviedo 2 and bottom-ranked Claret had identical 0-8 record. This time Oviedo 2 used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Segovia 67-52 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Rodriguez (188-98) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Fernando Suarez (-3) chipped in 12 points. Four Oviedo 2 players scored in double figures. Oviedo 2's coach Agustin Munarriz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alex Young (202-97) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and Mali Oumar Drame (199-99) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Oviedo 2 (1-8) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place in Group A-B. It was Claret's ninth loss in a row. Claret at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with nine games lost. Oviedo 2 will meet higher ranked Porrino (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Claret will play against Agustinos (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
