Regular Season Round 7: Cremona - Vicenza 77-52

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Cremona and 7th ranked Vicenza had identical 4-2 record. This time Cremona used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Vicenza 77-52 on Sunday night. Cremona shot 61.5 percent from the field. Cremona outrebounded Vicenza 32-18 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Carlo Fumagalli (193-96, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Guard Enrico Gobbato (196-98) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Cremona's coach Alessandro Crotti felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91, agency: SLN) responded with 13 points and point guard Fabrizio Piccone (182-98) scored 12 points. Cremona (5-2) moved-up to third place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Vicenza keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Cremona will meet Desio (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vicenza will play against Bologna Basket and hope to secure a win.
