Regular Season Round 8: Asker Aliens - Tromso 84-79

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Tromso (5-7) was defeated on the road by second ranked Asker Aliens (8-2) 84-79 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was forward Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: NIU) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international guard Stian Berg (187-91, college: Nova SE) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Berg attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Five Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. American forward Kevin OBrien (204-95, college: Lynn) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Johannes Lange (182-98) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Asker Aliens have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record having just one point less than leader Froya Basket. Loser Tromso keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Asker Aliens will meet Gimle BBK (#4) in the next round. Tromso will play against Kongsberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
