The most surprising game was the first loss of Sokol (9-1) in Lancut on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixteenth ranked Znicz (2-8) 96-86. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Sokol. Znicz looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Sokol helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Karol Kaminski (195-97) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Marcin Nowakowski (184-89) replied with 17 points and 5 assists and swingman Jacek Jarecki (196-88) added 15 points in the effort for Sokol. Five Znicz and four Sokol players scored in double figures. Sokol's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Znicz maintains sixteenth position with 2-8 record. Sokol at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Tychy. Znicz are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tychy at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sokol will play against Slask in Wroclaw and is hoping to win this game.
