Regular Season Round 4: Ramat G. - Rishon LZ 69-85

Very expected game when 8th ranked Ramat G. (1-3) lost to top-ranked Rishon LZ (3-0) in Ramat Hen 69-85 on Thursday. Rishon LZ forced 22 Ramat G. turnovers. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) who scored that evening 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Kristi Bellock (186-90, college: Texas A&M) supported her with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for Ramat G.. Center Kai James (196-95, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Four Rishon LZ and five Ramat G. players scored in double figures. Rishon LZ have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-0 record behind leader M.Haifa. Ramat G. lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Holon and Petah Tikva. Rishon LZ will meet at home league's leader M.Haifa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ramat G. will play against Ramla (#4) and hope to win that game.
