Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Araski (5-3) outplayed 10th ranked IDK Eustotren (3-5) in San Sebastian 81-62 on Thursday. The winners were led by Mozambican power forward Leia Dongue (185-91) who scored that evening 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-96, college: Temple) supported her with 17 points. Four Araski players scored in double figures. Araski's coach Madelen Urieta used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 17 points by Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (192-97) did not help to save the game for IDK Eustotren. Dutch guard Laura Cornelius (173-96, college: Miami, FL) added 13 points for the hosts. Araski moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zaragoza. Loser IDK Eustotren dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Ensino and Gran Canaria. Araski will meet at home league's leader Avenida in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. IDK Eustotren will play against Girona (#3) and hope to secure a win.
