Regular Season Round 10: Lucenec - Inter Bratislava 66-75

There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Lucenec (5-4) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Inter Bratislava (4-5) 75-66 on Friday. American point guard Trevor Blondin (193-96, college: Seton Hill) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian forward Dziugas Slavinskas (203-98, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleshchenko used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-96, college: Xavier) produced 20 points and forward Jan Zorvan (201-95) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Inter Bratislava maintains sixth position with 4-5 record. Lucenec at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Handlova and Spisski Rytieri. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face league's second-placed Komarno on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lucenec will play against Handlova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
