Regular Season Round 8: Promitheas - Kolossos HH 76-61

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kolossos HH (5-3) against fourth ranked Promitheas (6-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Kolossos HH was defeated by Promitheas in Patras 76-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kolossos HH. The game was mostly controlled by Promitheas. Kolossos HH was better in fourth quarter 20-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: KSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Promitheas players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Stefan Pot (194-94) replied with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Dutch-French power forward Kim Tillie (210-88, college: Utah) added 11 points in the effort for Kolossos HH. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Promitheas moved-up to third place. Kolossos HH at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Promitheas will play against AEK (#6) in Athens in the next round. Kolossos HH will play at home against Iraklis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
