Regular Season Round 11: Lowicz - Walbrzych 95-87

The game between third ranked Gornik (8-3) and fifteenth ranked Ksiezak (3-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Gornik was defeated by Ksiezak in a tough game in Lowicz 87-95. Ksiezak made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Ksiezak outrebounded Gornik 43-23 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by Gornik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Piotr Robak (194-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Arkadiusz Kobus (196-86) helped adding 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jan Malesa (187-99) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) scored 17 points. Five Ksiezak and four Gornik players scored in double figures. Ksiezak moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Dziki Wwa and Koszalin. Gornik at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Ksiezak is looking forward to face higher ranked Kotwica (#3) in Kolobrzeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gornik will play at home against Kociewskie Diably and is hoping to win this game.
