No shocking result in a game when third ranked CBSFDO (7-2) smashed on the road 11th ranked Cimbis (1-7) 100-51 on Saturday. CBSFDO held Cimbis to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.7 percent accuracy of the winners and had 28 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Cimbis only scored one point from the stripe. CBSFDO forced 21 Cimbis turnovers and outrebounded them 63-35 including a 48-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Jesus Remesal (194-95) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) to lead the charge for the winners and center Iago Paz (201-91) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four CBSFDO players scored in double figures. At the losing side Angel Canas-Balina (187-97) responded with 15 points and Carlos Goicoechea (-3) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CBSFDO have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group D-B with 7-2 record having just one point less than leader Lliria. Cimbis lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. CBSFDO will meet at home Torta del Casar (#6) in the next round. Cimbis will play against Corazon (#5) in Caceres and hope to win that game.
