Everything could happen in Athens at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Peristeri and 6th ranked Apollon P. had identical 3-3 record. This time Peristeri used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Patra 78-68 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Peristeri. Apollon P. managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Chad Brown (206-96, college: UCF, agency: Network Sports International) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Terran Petteway (198-92, college: Nebraska) who added 13 points during the contest. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-93, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and international Georgios Tsalmpouris (216-96, college: Iowa St.) scored 15 points. Peristeri (4-3) moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Apollon P. dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Aris. Peristeri will meet Aris (#9) in the next round. Apollon P. will play against PAOK and hope to secure a win.
