Regular Season Round 9: Gimle BBK - Asker Aliens 106-73

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Gimle BBK as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gimle BBK smashed second-best Asker Aliens in Bergen 106-73. Gimle BBK looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. The best player for the winners was guard Mikkel Kolstad (193-95, college: Nova SE) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists. American forward Bryan Coleman (198-92, college: WSU) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK's coach Audun Eskeland felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Joshua Hart (194-90, college: Va Intermont) who recorded 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Stian Berg (187-91, college: Nova SE) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Gimle BBK (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Asker Aliens at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Fyllingen BBK. Asker Aliens will play next round against Ammerud Bskt trying to get back on the winning streak. Gimle BBK will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim.
