Regular Season Round 9: Tromso - Kongsberg 86-81

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Kongsberg (6-3) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Tromso (6-7) 86-81 on Sunday. Tromso shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Rasheed Worrell (203-96, college: Lynn, agency: One Motive Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and point guard Johannes Lange (182-98) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Worrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tromso's coach Pal Berg used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Croatian Marin Mornar (205-93, college: LMU) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Ognjen Nisavic (195-92) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tromso maintains sixth place with 6-7 record. Loser Kongsberg keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Tromso will meet at home league's second-placed Froya Basket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kongsberg will play against Ammerud Bskt in Oslo and hope to secure a win.
