Regular Season Round 10: Mataro UE - Palma AE 104-72

Very expected game when 11th ranked Palma AE (1-7) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Mataro (6-3) 104-72 on Sunday. Forward Jordi Juanola (196-98) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jaume Sole (195-91) chipped in 27 points during the contest. Mataro's coach Charly Giralt felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Marc Aguilo (196-99) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Miquel Santandreu (184-2) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mataro have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-3, which they share with Navas and Sol Girones. Palma AE lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with seven games lost. Mataro will meet Artes (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Palma AE will play against Vic and hope to win that game.
