Regular Season Round 10: Pas Pielagos - Solares 76-93

There was no surprise in Renedo de Pielagos where 15th ranked Pas Pielagos (2-9) was defeated by eighth ranked Solares (5-5) 93-76 on Sunday. American-British center Kaj-Bjorn Sherman (213-92, college: UTSA) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Diego Garcia (192-0) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian guard Juan Pablo Sutina (192-90, agency: Interperformances) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Raul Gomez (204-96) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Solares maintains eighth position in Group A-A with 5-5 record. Pas Pielagos lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth place with nine games lost. Solares will meet at home bottom-ranked Santander (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Pas Pielagos will play against Cantbasket in Santander and hope to secure a win.
