Regular Season Round 10: Mondragon - Santurtzi 77-73

Top ranked Santurtzi (9-2) recorded its second loss on the court of sixth ranked Mondragon. Visitors were defeated by Mondragon 77-73. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Daniel Lorenzo (181-93) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Forward Imanol Orue-Mazaga (202-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Center Jon Manjon (205-97, college: Simpson, CA) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Imanol Artinano (203-95, college: ABU) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Santurtzi. Five Mondragon and four Santurtzi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mondragon maintains sixth position in Group A-A with 7-4 record. Santurtzi at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Mondragon will play against higher ranked LBC Cocinas (#3) in Logrono in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Santurtzi will play on the road against Burgos Nissan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
