LEB Silver top team - Benicarlo (7-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Menorca (4-3) in Castellon 76-66. Dominican guard Jhery Matos (196-96, college: Charlotte) fired 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. Power forward Jon Aramburu (207-92) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Benicarlo's coach Adria Alonso used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Diego Alderete (197-0) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Jermaine Marrow (183-97, college: Hampton) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Benicarlo maintains first place in Silver with 7-0 record. Loser Menorca dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Benicarlo will meet Mollet (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Menorca will play against Zentro Basket and hope to secure a win.
