Regular Season Round 7: Cartagena - Albacete 82-84

The most exciting game of round 7 in the LEB Silver took place in Cartagena. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked Cartagena (5-2) to fourth ranked Albacete (5-2) 84-82 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in Silver. It was a great evening for guard Gerard Blat (185-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points. Danish swingman David Knudsen (196-94, college: Marist, agency: Players Group) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Samuel Rodriguez (202-97) responded with 23 points and guard Victor Aguilar (185-98) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Albacete moved-up to second place in Silver. Albacete are looking forward to face Valencia 2 (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cartagena will play against Alginet (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
