There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Almozara (2-7) outscored at home 9th ranked Mataro Parc (3-6) 87-62 on Sunday. They outrebounded Mataro Parc 47-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Center Victor Alijarde (200-97) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Roberto Perez (192-93) chipped in 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Gerard Comas (-1) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Guillem Tallada (196-1) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Almozara maintains eleventh position in Group C-2 with 2-7 record, which they share with Alpicat. Loser Mataro Parc keeps the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Maristes. Almozara will meet higher ranked Alfinden (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mataro Parc will play against the league's leader L'Hospitalet (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
