Regular Season Round 7: Kipina - HyPo 92-82

There was a change at the 1st Division leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader HyPo (5-1). They were defeated by second ranked Kipina (5-1) 92-82 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the top position in 1st Division. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-82. It was a great evening for American guard Steve Jr Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import forward Chris Wray (203-94, college: Mt.St.Mary's) helped adding 23 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Chris Barton (189-96, college: Niagara) responded with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Roy Hinkkanen (182-97) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kipina keeps a position of 1st Division leader. HyPo will play next round against Ura Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kipina will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked PuHu Juniorit in Vantaa.
