Not a big story in a game when one of their biggest challengers Getxo (8-3) was edged at home by second ranked Baskonia B (8-2) 69-67 on Sunday. Baskonia B outrebounded Getxo 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (195-88) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese forward Pape Sow (203-3) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Baskonia B's coach Ricardo Uriz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Eder Chavarri (180-97) responded with 21 points and forward Joseba Iglesias (200-83) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Baskonia B have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A-A with 8-2 record having just three point less than leader Lliria. Newly promoted Getxo dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Cantbasket and LBC Cocinas. Baskonia B will meet at home Ardoi (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Getxo will play against Easo (#11) in San Sebastian and hope to secure a win.
