Regular Season Round 8: Fiorenzuola - Jesolo 75-60

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Jesolo (3-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Fiorenzuola (6-2) 75-60 on Sunday. Fiorenzuola dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Jesolo's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Fiorenzuola players scored in double figures. Davide Bovo (198-97, agency: SLN) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and Mattia Favaretto (191-0) scored 22 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fiorenzuola moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Cremona. Newly promoted Jesolo keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fiorenzuola will meet Olginate (#7) on the road in the next round. Jesolo will play against Desio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
