Very important is a home loss of second ranked Wroclaw (5-2) against seventh ranked Polonia W-wa (3-3) on Sunday night. Host Wroclaw was defeated by Polonia W-wa in a tough game in Wroclaw 83-89. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wroclaw. Polonia W-wa made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Loryn Goodwin (171-94, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Slovenian center Teja Gorsic (187-99) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Polonia W-wa's coach Maciej Gordon used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Dominique Wilson (173-94, college: NC State, agency: LBM Management) answered with 22 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and international guard Julia Drop (174-95) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Wroclaw. Five Polonia W-wa and four Wroclaw players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Polonia W-wa. They moved-up to sixth place. Wroclaw at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Polonia W-wa will play against bottom-ranked GTK Gdynia (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Wroclaw will play against Sosnowiec (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
