No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Mark (7-3) beat 10th ranked Sparks (3-7) in Huskvarna 91-85 on Friday. Mark forced 27 Sparks turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Chanette Hicks (168-97, college: Norfolk St.) notched 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Brittany Hernandez (185-93, college: UCCS) supported her with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Mark's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by forward Tyra Whitehead (190-98, college: SJSU) did not help to save the game for Sparks. Point guard Taylor Brown (170-93, college: GMU) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mark moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Sparks keep the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Hogsbo.
