Very expected game when 9th ranked Burgos Nissan (5-6) was edged at home by first ranked Santurtzi (9-2) 71-69 on Saturday. Santurtzi outrebounded Burgos Nissan 45-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for center Jon Manjon (205-97, college: Simpson, CA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Mohamed Niang (198-0) accounted for 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Santurtzi's coach Inigo Nunez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Argentinian forward Gonzalo Corbalan (191-2, college: LCU) came up with 30 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Angel Infante (180-98) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Burgos Nissan in the defeat. Santurtzi maintains first place in Group A-A with 9-2 record, which they share with Baskonia B. Loser Burgos Nissan keeps the ninth position with six games lost.
