Date: November 27, 2021
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Puerto Sagunto (6-3) crushed 6th ranked Godella (2-7) in Gilet 77-36 on Saturday. Puerto Sagunto held Godella to an opponent 19.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Puerto Sagunto forced 24 Godella turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian Marco Tortarolo (-94) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Ivan Alexandrov (-3) came up with 14 points and forward Luis Rodriguez (198-97) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Godella in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Puerto Sagunto. They maintain third place in Group E-A with 6-3 record having just two points less than leader Lliria. Godella lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Castello 2. Puerto Sagunto will meet at home league's second-placed Torrent in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Godella will play against Tabernes (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
