There was no surprise when 10th ranked Aleksandrow L. (3-6) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Pol. Gdansk 2 (6-4) 81-64 on Saturday. Pol. Gdansk 2 forced 19 Aleksandrow L. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Dominika Ullmann (170-5) stepped up and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Agnieszka Harynska (172-91) chipped in 9 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Kinga Stasinowska (176-3) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard Aleksandra Rok (169-3) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aleksandrow L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pol. Gdansk 2. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bochnia. Aleksandrow L. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Wisla Krakow and Wolomin. Pol. Gdansk 2 will meet at home AZS UMCS II (#6) in the next round. Aleksandrow L. will play against AZS UW in Warszawa and hope to secure a win.
