Regular Season Round 8: Vestri - Tindastoll 68-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Vestri's (1-7) home loss to tenth ranked Tindastoll (3-4) 68-89 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-68. Tindastoll made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Tindastoll outrebounded Vestri 57-33 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Maddie Sutton (180-98, college: Tusculum) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 31 rebounds and Slovenian point guard Ksenja Hribljan (168-1) who added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. Tindastoll's coach Jan Bezica felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Danielle Shafer (173-95) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Sara Newman (-3) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Tindastoll moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Vestri stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Tindastoll will meet at home league's second-placed Armann in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vestri will have a break next round.
