Regular Season Round 8: PuHu - MuKi 83-78

Everything could happen in Vantaa at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked PuHu and 6th ranked MuKi had identical 3-3 record. This time PuHu used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Helsinki 83-78 on Saturday night. MuKi was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-19 charge of PuHu, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Valtteri Heiskanen (197-4) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and forward Thomas Ronnholm (197-3) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. PuHu's coach Jani Salo used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Leo Nordberg (185-4) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and forward Nico Avist (190-3) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five PuHu and four MuKi players scored in double figures. PuHu (4-3) moved-up to sixth place. Loser MuKi dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. PuHu will meet higher ranked Kouvot (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MuKi will play against OBA and hope to secure a win.
