Very predictable result when fourth ranked Latvian Liepaja/LSSS (5-3) beat at home 11th ranked Estonian Tallina U. (2-9) 85-71 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Liepaja/LSSS's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-14 extending their advantage to 14 points. Latvian forward Paula Klescova (180-1) scored 17 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian guard Ketija Vihmane (176-1) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Liepaja/LSSS players scored in double figures. Liepaja/LSSS's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Laina Mesila-Kaarmann (186-87) with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and guard Merike Anderson (180-81) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists. Liepaja/LSSS maintains fourth position with 5-3 record. Tallina U. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost.
