Undefeated Viladecans (8-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Segle XXI (8-2) 72-68. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Viladecans. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Group B. Center Ariadna Termis (197-5) nailed 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and point guard Elena Buenavida (174-4) accounted for 15 points. Power forward Silvia Marcelo (188-93) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Paula Curto (175-97) added 14 points respectively for Viladecans in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Segle XXI. They maintain second place in Group B with 8-2 record having just one point less than leader Viladecans. Viladecans at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Segle XXI will play against Marratxi (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Viladecans will play against Girona (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
