Very predictable result in Helsinki where fifth ranked Oulun Bball (5-2) beat 11th ranked MuKi (2-6) 91-79 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 30-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Oulun Bball dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to MuKi's 26. They outrebounded MuKi 54-28 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Clay Guillozet (193-97, college: Valdosta St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Myles Howard (206-98, college: NMU) who added 17 points, 24 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Oulun Bball players scored in double figures. Oulun Bball's coach Juha Valkama used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Leo Nordberg (185-4) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Joonas Timonen (189-0) scored 22 points and 5 assists. Oulun Bball moved-up to third place in 1st Division. Loser MuKi dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Oulun Bball will meet at home Huima (#7) in the next round. MuKi will play against Raiders Basket (#4) and hope to secure a win.
