The game between third ranked Venezia (6-2) and 9th ranked Sassari (2-5) in Venezia on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Venezia outscored guests from Sassari 85-47. Venezia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sassari's 28 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Bologna. Loser Sassari dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Venezia will meet Costa Masnaga (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sassari will play against Faenza and hope to secure a win.
