Very important is a road loss of second ranked Valencia (8-2) against fourth ranked Cadi La Seu (7-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Valencia was defeated by Cadi La Seu in a tough game in Seu D'urgell 60-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valencia. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jewel Tunstull (190-92, college: Northeastern) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Laura Pena (173-98) contributed with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. German center Marie Guelich (194-94, college: Oregon St.) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) added 13 points in the effort for Valencia. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cadi La Seu maintains fourth position with 7-3 record. Valencia at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Girona. Cadi La Seu will play against Gran Canaria (#14) in Las Palmas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valencia will play at home against Ferrol (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
