Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Thor Thorl (6-2). They were defeated by seventh ranked Valur (5-3) 86-75 on Friday night. Four Valur and five Thor Thorl players scored in double figures. Valur moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Njardvik. Defending champion Thor Thorl dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Grindavik and Tindastoll. They were replaced at the leadership position by Keflavik. Thor Thorl will play next round against KR trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Valur will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Thor AK in Akureyri.
