The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Neptunas (7-1) in Vilnius on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Kibirkstis (8-0) 70-67. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Neptunas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 70-67 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kibirkstis had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was French swingman Camille Droguet (178-99) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard Gabriele Sulske (177-90) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Dalia Donskichyte (169-0) who recorded 17 points and Lithuanian Ligita Tamutyte (177-99) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Kibirkstis have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending Lithuanian champion maintains first position with 8-0 record, which they share with TTT Riga.
